Track of the Day: Coins - Local Natives
Local Natives are an indie band hailing from Silver Lake, LA, and they come with an extensive repertoire of music under their belt. Their 2016 track 'Coins' offers such diversity within its 5 minutes of being that it just had to be our track of the day.
It opens up with some stand-alone guitar, that is soon embellished with clever vocals, as lead singer Taylor Rice replicates his voice to match the strumming. The rest of the track is composed of haunting, lamenting vocals and an upbeat undertone, with a slight air of jazz.
